Sacramento County Medicare Part C (Advantage) Medical Groups
Medicare Advantage plans, also known as Medicare “Part C” Plans, provide Medicare beneficiaries in Sacramento County with an alternative to Original Medicare. In addition to health care benefits, Medicare Advantage plans may also provide extra benefits. In Sacramento County, there are currently 25 MA plans available. Coverage is offered by private businesses that have received Medicare approval and that adhere to the standards established by Medicare.
The cost of prescription drugs is covered by some Medicare Part C plans. Known as Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans, or MAPDs, these plans offer comprehensive coverage for beneficiaries who want to minimize their out-of-pocket costs.
